This is a small group which is gathering regularly to discuss the book Meditations on the Tarot: A Journey Into Christian Hermeticism by Valentin Tomberg. Each Letter, or Arcanum, presented by Tomberg to the reader, becomes the focus here of an hour-long discussion, each Arcanum building upon the others.
A contemplative study of the Gospel of Thomas utilizing Dr. Lynn Bauman’s translations and commentaries, lectio divina and visio divina, meeting the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 to 11:00 am EST. Mentored by Alice Despard via Zoom, each meeting consists of an opening meditation followed by an in-depth discussion of the Gospel of Thomas logion (saying) selected for that week.
On the second and fourth Tuesdays, 9:00-10:30 am, this same group has been studying a variety of books; currently Temple Theology by Margaret Barker.

Meditations on the Tarot
A study group exploring the Hermetic Christian path, working with the text attributed to Valentin Tomberg. We began this study with Letter I ~ The Magician in January, 2021 and completed all 22 Arcana by June 2022. You can find here videos of our hour-long discussions on each Arcanum.
Alice Despard is a certified yoga instructor (RYT) with 14 years of teaching experience and a yoga practitioner since 1997 with a firm background in the B.K.S. Iyengar tradition of asana practice with its emphasis on precision, alignment and detail to increase awareness, serenity and health.
