Where Are You Going, My Little One?

February 13, 2006

Where are you going, my little one?
Are you not always,

at all times,

walking with me?
Let your feet turn

where they will;
all paths lead to my inmost heart.
Where your heart is shall your steps lead you,

and the choices are made easy.

Step back and look upon your life–this is good.

Step aside and let your Lord reign–this too is good.
Step forward and He will rise to meet you–this is ever so good.
Step up to the task which presents;

let your stride be purposeful and obedient to His will.
Let holiness guide you all your days and in all your ways.
I AM ever present within the folds and creases of your life,
as well as in the smooth places.

The rigors of life present,
the balancing of they and thou,

the all and nothing,
the within and without.

Stir not a hair upon your head,
but rest in me.

The cumbersome tasks abate,

and all becomes light and joyful play.

Seize the opportunity,
but with gentle heart,

and bend the winds to your will in align with mine.

Sweet, gentle soul,

come unto me now and always.

Rest here in my peace

and do away with the sadness of the world.

Foster within the strength
to take in all anguish and pain,

thus charging it with Divine Love

and send out this sustenance unto the world
for me and for my Father in heaven,

for Whom and within Whom and by Whom

everything draws its being.
Be not sheltered in your vision,

but let wisdom and light
pour forth unabated into the world surrounding you

and with the discerning heart of the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory.
Amen
